Trending & News I think they will be in such different places in their lives and want such different things, even if on the surface they think they want the same things, that it most likely won't last v. long and will end badly. However I voted "yes" bc I don't think there is a moral problem w it just practical problems, and also bc I could be wrong. JMO!
i'm turning 38 and i don't feel old 😂😂😂 so i voted yes
It's slightly concerning that the girl is so young but not a reason by itself not to support the relationship as much as any other in my opinion. If the girl were 23-24 It would just feel better.
Not to me, but that's just my personal opinion.

OK to who? If that's what she wants, that's what she wants. There's nothing "wrong " with it per se. But I give 2 cautions. 1. Age gaps larger than 9 years. Seldom yield long term success. So keep that in mind. And 2. Really vet this guy good. Because 20 and 33 is large enough that he MIGHT be exploiting her age. When age gaps are that large there's not always mutual respect. And you can't have a su cesful relationship without mutual respect.
Because I’m 20 and my dude 33 and we been together for five years and love each other it shouldn’t matter about age if u love each other cause 20 is an adult not a minor so yea it okay to date a 33 year old guy and I love the relationship I have with my man he treats me right he don’t try to rush and he always no matter if I’m hurt sad or if we argue he always there for me that’s my other half and my ride or die I’m engaged to him and we are happy my parents accepted him
Legally? Yes.
Will they have anything in common and have a genuine connection outside of sex? Probably not.
Legally there is no issue but the age gap is too large which can lead to compatibility issues.
technically yes. there is potential for a power imabalance and an unhealthy relationship dynamic though.
It's not for everyone, but they both legal age, and if it works for them that's what matters
i'm 19 and my boyfriend is 33 and it's been great
they would probably lack a lot in common. but I still think its possible. I would only see it as something wrong if he was 40 while she is 18.
its a little too much age gap to me but its fine i guess
yeah 33 is still young enough you two will still have a lot in common. personally anything 10 years apart is where I draw the line. the idea of dating someone old enough to be my dad or young enough to be a son makes me sick 🤮
You both are adults, I dated a woman 15yrs my junior no problem. People who oppose are jelous.
Why would it not? 2 adults should know what they want
Sure! Why not? What's age got to do with it?
being close to the dudes age, i could never date a 20 year old. seems way too immature... just graduated high school 2 years ago... yikes...
It's legally okay, but it'll probably lead to her heart getting ripped out.
@ProbablyClueless
why do you think society looks down on large age gaps?
but what you dont realize is that sometimes lotta guys out there don't care about love, they just want sex. some of these guys would even marry for a hot body with amazing sex.
@ProbablyClueless
Vast majority of large age gap relationships rarely ever work out and don't tend to reach marriage for that reason. Even in marriage, there are higher divorce rates.
yes, both are adults
Why do you care? Did some guy dump you for a 20 year old?
Okay sure, but it would be easy to take advantage of a 20yr as 33yr.
My mom has a friend who married a guy, 20 years older than her
If they both consent, then why not? They’re both adults.
Could be ok, could be bad. How did they meet?
If you like it, then yeah it’s fine
Yes, you are both consenting adults.
He's got money so who cares.
Of course it is
That's completely subjective.
DUH.
Love is love
Of course.
