Women aren't really taught what to look for in a partner, so at a young age they go after men who aren't healthy for them (boys / young men do this too). They wind up overlooking kind, reliable, and stable dudes.

After bad experiences, the women become bitter and project their negativity and expectations onto men broadly. So, the dudes who would've treated them well get punished by projection. Which then turns these formally good men into more bad men. Repeat the cycle.
