Absolute deal breakers?

I met a man who’s seems to be very sweet and attentive but he yesterday I found out he smokes cigarettes.
Today I let him know that’s a deal breaker for me.
Would you guys have been a little more lenient?

I perfectly understood your post and I'm telling you, as a man (you asked guys opinion right?) I wouldn't bother doing something as difficult as quitting smoking, for a woman who's 33, which is too old, still from my man perspective. Regarding the age, I would only consider you as a booty call so I wouldn't make that kind of effort, no.
