100% removed them from your life. Don't see them, don't talk to them, don't look at photos of them and get so busy with life, working out, traveling, going out with friends, hobbies, meeting and dating new people.

Fill your time and mind with new things, new goals, new activities, new people, new adventures... your mind won't have the time and room to contemplate and ponder over this person.

Of course "forget" isn't literal but figurative. Of course you'll remember. If I stop and think about it and can remember 2nd grade and who my best friend was or who I had a crush on... but that never comes up in my mind on a regular basis. I remember who I dated 12 years ago but I never stop and think about her. The majority of the time I never think about her and something has to pop up to make me think back to that time. You'll get to where you don't ever think about certain people except every blue moon or so.

You just have to accept that they're not going to be with you you don't have to forget them just be honest with yourself say it to yourself and move on
