She accepted the idea of going out for a drink but we didn't talk about when. How to approach it next?

So, after I asked out a girl I like over text to get some drink sometimes after her exam, she answered "Absolutelyyy, we should" but we didn't talk about exact time and date when, as I thought it wouldn't be appropriate as she still have her exam for which she doesn't know when it is (it will be in next few days or so). Did I make a mistake for not giving her date? What should I do next, how to approach her about that drink? Should I just be like "Hey you wanna grab that drink we talked about on X day" or casually ask her when is she free? Thanks in advance!

Hit her up and give her a specific day, time and location. You make the plans. Girls like this.


It also gives you an advantage to tell if she has any interest in you by doing so. If she accepts, great. If she says something like: “I can’t make it that day” and nothing more drop her and move on. If however she says “I can’t make it that day, but this other day I can” then you got a shot.


If you were interested in a girl, and she proposed plans, but you couldn’t do it that day and time, you’d definitely give her an alternative day and time because you definitely want to see her. Same with a girl. Yet, girls are excellent excuse makers. They will never tell you flat out “thanks, but no thanks.” Instead they break dates, make excuses, and never give you an alternate if they can’t make it. They’ll just say: “nope, can’t make it that day” to every suggestion you make. So you have a tool to gauge how interested she is or not by seeing how she responds to your proposal.
