Ok so this guy I have been dating for about a month loves his dog so much that he lets his dog lick his face. That bothers me for when we kiss, I don't want to be swapping saliva with the dog. Is it manipulative or controlling of me to ask him to stop that. We just started kissing but I could say something like we don't have to kiss if he doesn't want to stop that but I feel like that would be a very mean thing to say since we just had our first kiss a week ago. Like I feel like it's messed up to take away the kissing when we just had our first kiss. I could instead kindly/politely/respectfully ask him to stop. But I don't know how to word it. Is it controlling or manipulative of me to ask to stop that you think? Or is it normal? I'm just trying to set a boundary because that disgusts me beyond belief however I like this guy and I don't want to let him go before giving him a chance to change his behavior.
How can I word asking this guy I'm dating to not kiss his dog?

I agree that's freaking disgusting. 3 minutes earlier that dog was balls and butthole. You are just going to have to tell him. If he wants to kiss his stupid dog over you he is beyond stupid.

I don't think so. Asking to not go to the bars with his friends is trying to change him. To me it's such a minor behavior adjustment, and it's based on how you feel, so it should be a no brainer.

None. Again a dog's mouth is cleaner than a humans. I'm not just saying this, it's a fact. This stems from when a dog is wounded it will lick it, it stimulates healing. And I don't know what dogs you've been around but most don't eat fecal matter. Only ones who are starving.

Good. It's never a good idea to try to change men. If they want to change, they will, but it's never a good idea to force it. It leads to resentment and failure.
And for the record, I'm a cat person, I have two. My wife was similar she thought they were gross. Now she can't live without them.
