We have been in a solid relationship for 7 years. Obv we have had our ups and downs and fair share of arguments like most couples do.
we have spoke about the future together, buying a house, settling down and trying for a baby etc. we do love each other dearly. And only the weekend before this happened we booked a weekend trip away for the end of the month.
we had an argument, nothing major. But since then he was funny with me, barely texting and ultimately decided to ask for a break.
he has still text me everyday since, told me he misses me but he needs the time right now. He also said he was sorry he didn’t want to do this but again he needs the time.
will he want to work on the relationship in time or is this over for us?

It sounds like he either doesn’t know what he wants, or he’s decided he doesn’t love you or wants to keep you on the back burner, if someone better doesn’t show up. Sorry I don’t literally mean better, I mean maybe he’s a dick who thinks he can do better. Secondly, act cool about it. He’ll be back. They always are. He’ll be back once you’ve moved on. By then though, you may not want him. But yeah, don’t say any of this to him. Just ask now what he wants from you.

Cause you'll get mixed opinions here and maybe fake hope. In the end, he's the one who is neither gonna or not gonna be with you.
