Do certain smells trigger memories of old boyfriends/girlfriends and if so what are they?

I like the smell of Caesar drinks because they remind me of my vacations to the Caribbean. I like the smell of industrial buildings cause it reminds me of the close relationships I had with my family when I lived in a Chinese apartment near the industrial buildings as a toddler. My parents were perfectly loving towards me until I was around 6-9 years old. Then they become emotionally abusive.

If I were to smell Este Lauder perfume, it would definitely make me think of my mom when she was alive.

I dated somebody a long time ago that used to use a perfume called Cachet. Every once in a while I might get a whiff of it while in some random place. I aways think of her.

Certain perfumes remind me of places a stayed while working. Vanilla Wood (perfume) reminds me of the years I spent in England.
There is this particular garbage smell. It’s not putrid or anything just a garbage smell and it reminds me of a place I used to visit a lot as a kid. No ex boyfriend smells.

The first candle my husband and I got after getting married was Peach Nectar. I still buy them every now and then, and they always remind me of our first year together. Then there's a certain brand and scent of hand sanitizer that reminds me of my dad lol

Well, for me, it'd be the cooking of chipati's, the cooking of ginger and her INCREDIBLY deadly chick pea farts!! Even passing skunks would wear gas masks and wave little white flags!! Any that might survive would beg for lessons!!

Certain smells can trigger memories that is for sure. But I don't recall any scents that trigger memories of former girlfriends.

Mint always reminds me of my first girlfriend. She wore mint chapstick and the taste of mint reminds me of kissing her.
