You shouldn't be lying on your first date, try not to worry too much trying to impress a guy on your first date. Don't invest to much, otherwise you will be emotionally bankrupt before the relationship has even began.

Relax be yourself, and if he doesn't like you now, then good, then you don't want to with someone who doesn't like you for you.

Stop making every guy you meet, the knight in shining armour. You can't predict the future, if some guy is going to be the one. Relax and enjoy the journey of getting to them, rather than trying to impress them.

The saying goes, be a friend, don't try to make friends. Trying to hard, actually makes people pull away from you, or put on a pedastal. Which you don't want either.
