The problem isn't necessarily the fact she's a mother... there's many other problems I would have to address in order to know if she will commit:

• The circumstances of her divorce and/or lack of husband - The reality is nobody is perfect and there is a reason she is not married. The circumstance reflects her character as a whole.
• There is the fact if we get together, I must take care of her children. It's just not psychologically easy for everyone to adopt because they know those children are not their's by blood.

• Let's say she never married and had children with multiple men, I would not want to associate with that type of person.
• If her husband died, then that entirely changes the implications of who she is. I would be far more likely to meet her opposed to an irresponsible person with multiple partners.

• Raising children is a massive responsibility- it is not a decision to be taken lightly if choosing to get together with a single mother.

It has to be mutual.
A lot depends on what she is looking for, a 1 night stand or something that might lead to something more permanent.
There are kids involved so having a crap to of 1 nighters is not the best thing to subject the kids to.
They need some stability in their lives.
If the kids are with the dad then it is play time for mom.
