Without bashing women why do guys think dating a single mom is a bad idea?

Personally, I hated the idea of taking time away from their kids. I dated two and both of them completely neglected their kids. And when we were all together they would be frantic, feeling like they have to keep all of us happy. And then the kids start bonding to me, and that's awful. One was a toddler and called me "daddy" and reached for me when I came inside the apartment.

On the other side, a girl that was a dedicated mom, would also be neglectful to a relationship. Especially an early relationship that needs more time to build. A marriage is different because the couple has already been through those phases and don't have such a high requirement for attention.

Another big factor is that girl will eventually expect the guy to also care for her kids. On top of that, they will likely have baby daddy drama. But even if not, a guy will have to commit time and resources to another man's kids which is a huge negative for a rational person. And finally, the risk of legal obligations to the kids after breakup. Some states legally obligate men to pay child support if they lived with the kids or even took on any kind of parental responsibilities. That's massively contradictory to basic human rights and rational guys would avoid this risk. Pedophiles won't care about any of the above.

For people that haven't had kids yet and want to, it kinda closes that door for them mostly if the woman that already has kids, doesn't want anymore, both of these people will basically be living in different moments of what's known to be a common couples life, the woman already experienced the birth, shared that moment and got to live it while the other person missed out on those things that they might have wanted to experience as well, it puts both of them in different spots in life and unless the person is willing to proceed from where they both stand it can be seen as somewhat unfair to the one that wants to experience it from the beginning if that makes sense.

well obviously because she has a child. you can say "but it's her child" all you want, if you're in a love relationship with a person who has a child, that child won't stay out of it. it's a huge baggage and a lot of extra responsibility you gotta take that you don't have to do with women who don't have children.

Why would I want to raise another guy's kids instead of my own? Why would I want to deal with her bad choices and get the leftovers of her life, instead of the best?

Just because a woman has a child doesn't mean she is leftovers. How is it "bad choices" if the guy is a deadbeat?

It adds a whole lot of drama that you don't need to add. Just date a single girl with no kids instead. She'll likely have more positive energy and will probably be hotter as well. Why WOULDN'T you want to do that?

"Mostly all guys" i think we've found your problem. You mostly just hate men. Rather than worry about men do why don't instead you just concern yourself with making good choices.
Let me answer your followup up question to the other anonymous blue. She CHOSE that deadbeat. At what point does a woman become responsible for her poor choices to you? Ever?
The reason guys do not choose single moms is because she's simply is a risky investment. A guy knows that she is typically single for a reason. Either 1. She drives guys away which is why she is single. Or 2. She makes very poor choices which again is why she is single.

They may be put off by having to form a relationship with the child as well as the mother.
