Do men not approach women they think are out of their leagues?

I was discussing with one of my coworkers regarding women asking men out. He told me most men want women to ask them out because they are terrified of rejection. Do you think this is true? Will men not ask women out if they think she is too good for them or if they think they have a high chance of being rejected? Or will they just go for it, anyways?

I mean it doesn't matter... you could ask out the most unattractive woman in the world, and there will be a high chance of rejection. And then they will say there are no good men, but they passed on or rejection like 10 to 1. And then months later they will complain about being heart broken, but they rejected like 9 other guys before choosing this one that broke her heart.

Its less about the rejection itself and more about the emotional damage tbh.

As far as "out of their league" goes, kinda yeah, we don't have the confidence that we can keep someone who has what we perceive as "better" options than us. That is, if you actually succeed in getting past the rejection/emotional damage and she says yes.

depends a lot on his maturity and confidence, skills, prior experience. Guys whom have experience and have other options are more likely to ask because they have options. Guys whom have been alone, lack skills and experience and are facing not only rejection but social stress of not knowing what to do, are unlikely to ask.

A lot of men do. A lot of men don't. Being asked out by a woman is honestly often super flattering because it happens so little. by the way I'm considered a good looking guy so for the average guy, he really doesn't get asked out unless he's super charismatic

I think a lot of uglier men know to act their looks if they don't have a lot of other resources to provide. They know that certain girls might find their face so below in attractiveness compared to their own that they don't even see them as a human anymore. 🤣 And then even something as simple as a friendly conversation could end up being awkward because she might just think he's a creep right off the bat.

I wouldn't say they are scared of rejection, they just understand she's probably going to flaky, waste a bunch of his time and it's just not worth it.

Most women don't want to date most guys, so they understand they are undesirable and there is no reason to pursue.

Your co-worker is telling you the truth, men have gotten sick of being told to 'go away' and 'leave me/us alone', Women do not understand how much guts it takes to walk up to and try to engage with a woman when there high chance of being rejected, so now guys are taking what women have said at face value, and instead of even trying to date anymore, they are instead organising guys nights out were they do not have to worry about having to deal with women.

I don’t think any girls really out of my league based solely on looks but i can tell you from experience girls that are 9’s and 10’s are generally psychos so that’s why i would not want to deal with them as a person, not because i’m afraid of rejection 😂

Well, I think there's more attractive girls than guys and most couples I see the girl is more good looking and sophisticated.. so, I think guys still approach girls who are out of their league or at least a good amount of them..

I don't know about other guys. But I'll approach any girl anywhere. when I was younger I would get at girls on a bicycle. 8 times out of 10 it all worked out. It's all about self confidence and knowing your worth.
