In some ways it’s noble, but then you miss out on one of the greatest opportunities of relationships—building together. It’s kind of like when a man buys a house, finds a wife, and then moves her in. She wasn’t there during the process of finding the house, buying it, helping with repairs, painting the walls or decorating. She just arrived when everything was all done up and looking nice.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone there through the difficult times too? Someone willing to struggle right along side you and encourage you as you are building up?

I'd rather see and be with him during the growth. If he does that, then he could be missing out on a great woman and it also would be harder for him to find a good woman that is truly for him and not what he's built. It would be a lot of weeding he would have to go through to find a gem.

I was very similar to you when I was younger. It logically makes sense. Makes sense to get your validation out of life and not out of women.

But I need to seriously warn you about something. When you “get” the point when are ready to date since you got “all your ducks in a row” don’t expect everything to magically fall in place. I thought it would for me when a few years ago but it didn’t.

I ended up getting deeply depressed and I succumbed to a lot of vices including one vice that became a full fledged addiction.

Well, when he has got himself financially established he should go after 19 and 20 year olds. If he is 27, for example, the 27 year women have been sleeping around since they were 17 probably. If he has worked hard to make himself a catch he should go for a girl who hasn't been explored already from 20 other guys.

If that's true that's great. Women don't belive it because this is the #1 line guys use when breaking up or when a girl wants something serious.

Guys want girls to give them all the girlfriend benefits but when she wants to be prioritized as a girlfriend then it's the "I have to work in myself" schpeel.

That's an incredible about of maturity and growth. I think the biggest problem with modern dating is that people see everything soo temporary and to just keep moving on very quickly, but they do not look at it from the psychological side of dating. I feel that if you take time by yourself and learn to love yourself alone, it will reflect positively in your future relationship

It means that he wants to make himself eligible before loving someone which is indeed a responsible and good effort which shouldn't be judged. But if he only keeps this rule to a girl he's unsure of and if he immediately dates or loves or flirts and gives another girl a full attention, he is a lying man who is trying to get rid off you and you should drop this kind of guy as soon as possible because he is a worthless guy who removes your worth and steals your worth if you stay with him
