Do women take offense to guys staying single and working on themselves?

I've been cheated on multiple times, wasn't loved enough as a child, been broken a couple of times, and my pockets ran completely dry to name a few things. I'm really tired of negative comments directed my way when I work on and improve myself and really try my best in the dating scene. I've made a lot of progress along the way to. I feel it is better to stay single because just trying to find female friends has been very challenging.

Take offence? No. But like majority of the time guys have told me they’re not wanting to date and just want to work on themselves, turns out they were talking to someone else and let you down with an excuse. So, yeah when guys say they want to stay single and work on themselves, more often than not, it’s an excuse so I get annoyed

I don't think there is anything to take offense for. I mean a guy being single and working independently does not affect the woman in any way so there is nothing to take offense for.
