Why do some people get defensive when some good women chooses to stay single?

Look after all the shitty relationship I’ve had, getting cheating on, the games and shit, I decided to stay single for a while. I’ve rejected a lot of guys because I just wasn’t interested. Not trying to sound cocky but I am successful, got my shit together, a good job, my masters in communications, amazing friend and family, work out, stunning but yes I am single. I haven’t had a boyfriend since I was 24 and now I’m 29. I know those things I do don’t mean anything, but i don’t have time for game, or bullshit. I rather keep my peace. I need a mature man. My friend keeps telling they need to hook me or get me a man. I don’t need a man. One said I’m not getting any younger and having kids when you get older will he difficult so I may want to consider finding a man. Who says? I mean I would like to be another one day but damn these days suck. Plus I want to wait to have sex until it’s the right time or marriage. Why is it so bad for someone wanting to stay single for a while? Plus I’m talking on my career.

It’s fine if someone chooses to stay single. It’s when they just hate the entire opposite sex and go out of their own way to be rude to people who never did anything to them.

Being single is better then being in a shitty relationship. There are many women that I just wouldn’t be with…. I don’t hate them as human beings I can even be friends. But I wouldn’t want anything romantic to do with them or sexually… I don’t want to just sleep with someone and I don’t like materialistic or superficial relationships.

I can see being genuinely successful…. Attracts the wrong people. People who want to use people and take advantage of them and women are NOT immune from it. There are dudes who can make a empathetic woman feel so sorry for him that she will just give him money and let him bum off her…. While some dude that’s working 70 hours a week is being cheated on by some bum.

Not just my own experiences…. But seeing what other good men and women have been through. Can leave a very bad taste in my mouth. Not everyone is as they first might seem… but I just take things slow. Many times…. The mask will fade. With time.

I know friends can be well meaning… But I get it. People try to set me up with people who aren’t my type. I don’t hate them…. But they’re not people I’m attracted to and it’s awkward having to turn someone down. And “what’s wrong with me” type thing. Nothing…. I’m just not wasting someone’s time I’m not into. It’s not just for my own sake. I’m literally doing someone a favor by letting them find someone that’s a better fit for them.

It is fine to stay single. Just know that after you pass 30, you shouldn't expect any good quality man to be interested in you for the rest of your life. Ultimately, YOU are the one that has to live with the consequences of YOUR life decisions. Don't get upset at men in the future when the good ones have no interest in you.

I mean… Some people really are fine being single. There’s a difference between angry bitter people and people who choose to stay single.

I mean… if someone would rather be single. There’s other people out there. Why do I care? Unless I just can’t get anyone and feel entitled to someone. Which I don’t…. But some people feel this way.

It’s because no one can understand why a woman who is good looking and skilled, funny and sweet could POSSIBLY prefer to be single than to just settle for a guy who isn’t worth her time or energy. Folks believe that a woman who stands on her own is some sort of untouchable paragon for one reason of another, but the truth is that a woman who is able to stand on her own is able to CHOOSE rather than to settle for whatever fodder happens to be out there.

Women who need to depend on a man are the type of women who are going to use you and hang you high and dry. I’m sorry…. But they are.

There are good women who are traditional but you have to be very aware of women who just want a free ride in life.

Successful women tend to care less about materialistic and superficial things. They care more about a genuine bond and connection. Someone who offers emotional support and love.

They don’t tend to need someone who has money or status. Because they already have that…. It doesn’t mean they want a man whose intentionally a bum either that will leech off them. But many will date and be with men…. Of the same or less financial Status and social status as they are.

But women who are successful tend to learn the same lessons as men who are…. Some people pretend to be someone they’re not. You have to be aware of people who are there to drain you and use you. Make you enable them. Make you feel bad for them… make you believe you can change someone. Rescue someone. And save someone from themselves…. And you can’t do that for someone who doesn’t really want it.

Those men tend to be bitter.
