Why do women want to be in relationships yet still want to live the single life?

I never understood this, if women want to...

- frequent clubs and other social venues

- flock to different dudes for whatever reasons

- have the same freedom of a single person

- still do shit that they know will make their s/o jealous

and so on then why dont they just stay single and live it up? I mean its a lot easier for a woman to live the wild bacholerette life then it is for us men for the fact that its easier for them to get laid and get more support from these places than men do, so why again not stay single? why mortify your damn life being in a relationship if you want to be free?

I think they often live a dual lifestyle as being both in a committed relationship as well as generally being available for a casual sexual relationship with the right guy because it's often very convenient for them to do so.

A woman I used to date once told me that it's difficult for a woman to get everything she needs from one guy, so she and most of her girlfriends almost always dated more than one guy at a time -- and most of the time, at least one of them wasn't permitted to have intercourse with them. For example, a woman may have a primary male partner for social and sexual interaction, and another guy for emotional and financial support, whom she doesn't have intercourse with, but whom she may allow to service her orally.
