it is amazing how much men gossip.

mainly as I came from a non office job to an office based one.

I can’t believe how much guys natter about stuff.

also just how ‘bitchy’ they can be.

even this morning one of my team during one to one’s was telling me loads of stuff about his missus.

This is very important for women. They need their support network and therefore snitch their men in order to have their friends by their side once the relationship has gone south. In that case, all the lies they've told their friends about the man in question can be used against him. The woman instantly receives support from everybody, including her army of white knights. The man can just go and die. She won't lose her sleep over it.
