Is it always okay to ask for help?

I don't know if it is okay to ask for help when dating. Also, what kind of help would you ask for?

"Excuse me, can you help me date a person"? Something in that kind?

In life, it is never wrong to ask for help when you are at a loss for something. School children ask for help with homework, toddlers ask for help to open a door for example. Teenagers ask for help when they want pocket money.

In all those situations, it is perfectly fine to ask for help when you cannot continue all by yourself. However, I am at a loss when and how to ask for help when you date. Perhaps you can ask for advice from someone that has experience but that would be about the only way I see where you can ask for help.
