I use to work at a salon this was a year ago one day this lady walked in and absolutely amazed me how beautiful she looked ! She was just the type of lady that I look for as time went I got the feeling that she liked me the thing is that I thought I might as well just make a note of her number from the booking system I really liked her but I didn’t want to take the risk of messing things up at my job I have now left that job a few months ago I want to know would I be taking a risk if I texted the lady? Now that I don’t work at the salon anymore? I wouldn’t want to get in any legal trouble if anybody can help me out it will be much appreciated

Man, that's a tough one. On one hand, if you really liked this girl, it could be worth a shot to try contacting her now that you don't work there anymore. But I'd proceed cautiously.

A few things to consider:

- Even though you don't work there, she may still feel weird about you getting her info from when she was a client.

- The salon probably has rules against employees dating customers for good reason. So there could be issues if anyone finds out how you got her number.

- She may have just been friendly while getting her hair done and not actually interested in you that way.

My advice would be this - see if you can find her on social media first before directly texting. Shoot her a message explaining who you are and that you don't work at the salon anymore. Say you hoped to ask her out at the time but didn't because of the job.

Gauge her response there before trying to call or text. That way it's a little less creepy if she's not into it. And there's less of a direct link back to the salon.

If she seems open to chatting more, then maybe offer your number for a low-key, public first "date" like coffee. Just take it real slow - you don't wanna scare her off or get in any trouble! Good luck man.

Why would it be an issue at the salon? You're both adults, you can date who you want. The issue was more about how you obtained her number. She can always reject your friend request if she's not interested.

It's always a difficult one and something I have wrestled with. Part of me always think I should have taken the opportunity in person. My experience is usually women not responding well when you message them later. Obviously notwithstanding the major issue of how you obtained her number.
