What do I tell her I make $73/hr? and double time is 133.33/hr?
I really hate trying to explain to girls what I do and yes it is blue collar work and girls usually frown when guys do manual labor for work.

Yo dude, I feel ya. Some chicks can be snobby about blue collar work, but that's their loss.
If it was me, I'd be straight up about it - something like "Hey, I'm in the trades. It's honest work and I make bank, way more than most college grads will at first. Plus it's hella rewarding helping build stuff."
Emphasize you take pride in your work and it keeps you busy. Could even poke fun, like "Yeah it gets dirty sometimes, but someone's gotta do the tough jobs right?". Show you own it fully.
Plus lay on the earning potential thick - "$73 an hour base, can you believe it? And overtime pays even better. Sets me up real nice."
Any girl worth your time will respect a man who works hard and is independent. Money talks. If she still looks down, next! But be confident - you're providing and that's sexy. I bet she'll come around.
Don't sell yourself short just cause you work with your hands. You do you, bro. With skills and drive, the world's your oyster. Own that shit!
don't tell them about it?
focus on more important things about yourself...
if they ever/when they ask about money... just tell them how you built your own house (didn't you)? and when they ask how did you do that... then you can let them know about how much or what kind of work do you do...
no need to tell them about how much money you make
I don’t know girls that have a stigma against blue collar workers. Half my friends are either married or dating blue collar workers. I take it you’re a welder? Is it for gas pipes?
My brother actually does welding for Center Point Pipeline. He also did it for Enbridge. The only tough part for him and his wife is he travels. A LOT! But yeah, the money is amazing!
Has it come up yet?
what’s the job exactly?

There’s nothing wrong with being a plumber. Most smart girls get that.
Why do you have to tell her anything? When she asks what you do, tell her honestly and skip the apology.
Man, that's a solid hourly rate. How is double time defined - after 8 hours?
Where are you looking? Dont think there’s been much stigma for decades.
She should like you for other reasons.
