No. There's nothing wrong with high expectations so long as you reciprocate. Problem is most people expect a lot but want to give little to nothing. Problem with most women today (since they're generally the ones with high expectations) is most women today feel simply just being a woman is enough. They feel, "Hey, I'm bringing the 😺 to the relationship and that's 90% of it". It's the biggest reason relationships fail on the woman's side. Most women today never grow past meeting stage. And it's because so many today define a relationship by how much the man caters to her. To her that is the relationship. There has to be some give on her side, not just take. No relationship will last indefinitely like that. But that's ok with most women. Because she'll tell herself he just didn't really love her then move on to the next guy.

It really depends on expectations. Do people expect sex on the first date? Would somebody expect an angagement ring a week later, I used to just expect somebody to show upon time and be dressed presentable.
