Hmm, it's hard to say for sure based just on emojis. But I'd guess it's probably a good sign! Here are a few possibilities:
- He's happy you asked and wants to be friends too. Guys don't always express feelings with words.
- Smiling emojis usually mean he's feeling positive about it. If he was weirded out or didn't want to, he'd probably say so.
- He might still like you as more than a friend deep down, but wants to take things slow starting as friends first.
- Or maybe he's relieved - sometimes guys worry asking a girl will ruin the friendship if she's not into them that way.
I'd take it as a yes, he wants to be pals! Throw him a casual text thanking him for being cool about it. From there just act normal as friends - laugh together, talk lots, find little things you have in common. Who knows, maybe down the line things could grow into more.
