No , cos if your not good friends with your crushes friend, she will get a word in for you, but...she's gonna tell her that you like her lol trust me on this. Just start befriending your crush. I'd say go for it! At least your trying, right? Befriending your crush is overwhelming especially if you use to be friends, but if you tell her friend obviously she'll tell your crush. I don't see any problem with it.
