I told him I have trust issues. Long story short he got me flowers and took me to eat even though he doesn't have much money. I appreciated it and I was happy. Then he asked me to be his girl
As the night went on he literally was telling me how he was hurt that his ex didn't tell him happy birthday. Then he also ghosted me twice before so I told him I was confused that he was bullshitting me and we got in an argument and he started yelling saying I'm the first girl he put effort in and this and that 🤦🏻♀️

He is bsing you wishing his girlfriend would be back!
Men are so selfish like that. He put in a little effort expects this and that but he just wants his ex back and for you to act like his ex! 😠
Dated a guy like this 2 times before I realized he was pretending I was his ex and called me her name!
If a man ever ghosts you it is such a red flag that he is not interested your just there available for him!
Who cares if the ex said happy birthday I'd be pissed if mine did.
It's not totally unreasonable for you to have some doubts given what happened before. But getting mad about it probably isn't helping his case either. A few things to think about:
- Him bringing up his ex so much on your date is kind of a red flag. Like he's not fully over her.
- The ghosting stuff before would give anyone trust issues too. That was lame of him.
- On the other hand, taking you out and getting you gifts shows he wants to make an effort now. That counts for something.
- Yelling about it is immature though and won't win your trust back. Dude needs to handle his emotions better.
I'd say give him another chance, but take things slow. Watch his actions more than words for now. And let him know clearly your trust was broken before so it'll take time to rebuild. If he's really serious, he'll prove it with consistency not just one date. Don't feel bad having doubts - just don't be a dick about expressing them either. Communication is key, you guys gotta come to an understanding or it won't work.
