So basically a friend of mine asked me for a favor, he said that he will send me 10000 bucks and I must return to him later after 2 days, first I was confused but then I asked him the reason, he said he wants to show zero balance in his account for getting pocket money. I am really confused please tell me what his intent was.

I would not do it. Show a zero balance to whom? Any assistance would require a bank statement, not just the current balance. Could be a straight up scam. Could be money laundering. Why risk getting ripped off or getting arrested on a conspiracy charge?

it sounds like a scam... is he really him? it might be hacker. you give him your account number and he will empty your account. I suggest you ask him by calling or meeting in person. So many people got scam and they voice fish and pretend that they are family member and they even heck the phone number. they make it like your family is calling with their number and their voice!! Tell him that you want to meet him in person and see if he really want this.

Alright, then it's less simple I guess. Still, $10000 is generally too much to ask of anyone. How do you even have that much lying around at your age? Moreover, how is he owing $10000? Does he have money problems?

Either way, I can't imagine this not being trouble in some shape or form. At the very least it's not gonna be the last time that he asks that. Also, I think the bank would ask questions if you try to transfer an amount like that.
