The issue is with him not you, meaning his views and all, he may have get used to saving so it bothers him when you spend. Or he could just be jaelous that you spend and he cannot if he is poor or he feels bad spending cause he learned to save. It could be you are spending too much and he just wants you to be more smart about your money. Yes. If it’s your money he shouldn’t be trying to dictate what you do with it. Surprising he doesn’t pay for YOU when you guys go out. Your money is your money, his money is your money. That’s what a real man is.
He is frugal and also he is right you are spending unnecessary money but that kind of the point of working hard. So you have the income to spend on things you WANT rather than need
