No. Just because someone holds a certain profession doesn't mean that you take them seriously. Take a look at some of the presidents of the US and other politicians. Do you take someone that holds the most powerful position (arguably) in the world serious? So by that example no I don't automatically take a doctor or lawyer seriously unless I know them. I've had the same doctor for a long time. I trust her but that was built over time. I do take her seriously. There are so many sleazy ass lawyers out there that I'm not going to take one of them seriously just because they have a law degree.

At first glance before you know them, yes, because they spent a lot of time studying and achieving goals. However, after getting to know them and their personality, if their personality is shit then I won't take them seriously.
