Has his interest in me waned?

Have a coffee date scheduled with a guy next weekend but he went radio silent on me for the past 2 weeks when he used to check in every few days. (Prior to this his delay in response was longer and longer too...)

My gut says he's no longer interested in meeting up...

Was planning to send a reminder but when would be an appropriate time?

Hmm that's weird that he went quiet all of a sudden like that before your date. Some possibilities:

- He could be losing interest and is too scared to actually cancel, so he's avoiding it. Guys do that lame stuff sometimes.

- Something came up in his life - new job, ex drama, family stuff. Could explain lack of chatting but hopefully not pulling a fade.

- Also possible his phone/internet cut out for a bit and he hasn't had a chance to get back to you.

I'd say if you don't hear from him by like Thursday at the latest, send a chill text like "Hey, still on for coffee this weekend? Just circling back before the date. Let me know!"

That way ball is in his court to confirm or cancel like an adult. If he doesn't respond or cancels, at least you tried. And you'll have your answer on where his head's at.

Don't stress too much either way - his loss if not interested, then you're free to find someone better. But hopefully he just got busy and will get back to you! Keep us updated on what happens. Fingers crossed it works out!

I would just be happy with a woman that is worthy of meeting up with. But, I often wonder why women message me and then I message back, and then takes them days or weeks or sometimes even months to get back to me. And with these women I never had any plans to meet. I would love plans to meet somebody. But, it depends. Maybe he feels your procrastinating. I do know one reason it turns me off in a woman is her procrastination at least to meet. But, women procrastinate about a lot of things pretty much everything when it comes to dating. And that does get quite frustrating and annoying. That could be a reason. It also depends on how old he is too and what he's got going on in his life.

I’m sorry it is very disappointing and sad when this happens because who wouldn’t be excited to go on a date that’s discussed and agreed on? However, my question will be for you, why would you wanna go on a date with someone who stopped contacting and putting effort? Many people likes the initial and the idea of someone potentially, but he’s just a potential… think about it again, what are you looking for? Is he currently showing that he’s that person? Why would you wanna try after no contact for 2 weeks?

I would spend that 2 weeks of no contact… on spoiling myself, doing what I want, doing what I love, living my life at its best, and someone else who is more consistent and worth my time. It doesn’t mean you can’t miss him and can’t feel sad or want that date. But you’re worth more and deserve better with your valuable time and emotions sis. Hope you find a better man who meets his words, shows consistency, and give you a proper first date.
