+1 yPersonality is the first thing, then location. Even if you are where the men you want are, it won't mean anything if your personality repels them away from you.
First of all, dont over think it. Men are people, and just like any person out there they require a certain amount of basic respect. If you find you are the type of woman who generally looks down on or thinks less of men, that may be your first obstacle. It is VERY fashionable today for young ladies to be encouraged to think men are beneath them because its not hard to get male attention. But what kind of attention are you getting? Is it from quality men? You don't want attention, you want retention.
So, if you are acting in a way that easily gets male attention, you may be accidentally shooting yourself in the foot while thinking you are doing something right. Being overly sexual in public shows you are not dating or marriage material because it tells us you want short term gratification rather than a relationship. It shows us that you have invested little into your personality and are likely to give your attention to the highest bidder, which makes you easily bought. You’re a woman, not a car. You should not come with a price tag.
Ask yourself what you bring to the table. Why would a man want to date you? What would he gain? If your answer is based on your looks, you should know that value has a shelf life. You WILL get old, and if the man you want is indeed valued on the sexual market and all you have is your looks then its only a matter of time before someone newer and hotter comes along. So unless you are okay with him cheating, you would do well to develop qualities men desire in women. The first and most important is DO NOT act like a man. You aren't a man so we don't take this talk seriously at all. We know you cannot overpower us strength-wise or intimidate us into submission so do not even attempt this. Dont try to talk over men or threaten them with violence or attempt to belittle their ideas or accomplishments. As a high-earning man thats attractive, I know I have options. We WILL NOT put up with that and we WILL walk away.
Dont put too much work into your appearance. Men want a woman who isn't afraid to be their natural selves. If you think you’re a solid 8 with makeup then you should know that in reality that makes you a 6 or an adjustable 5, realistically. Lets call excessive makeup what it is; A lie. Imagine you dated a man who was 5’ 7” and wore 4 inch inserts and called himself 5’ 8” and then said “oh its just height. Its just one small thing. Whats the big deal?”
Its a big deal because its a lie. It shows us you aren't comfortable with yourselves and need to hide who you are.
Beyond that, be pleasant. Be polite. Say please and thank you. Dress well but modest.
Now that you’ve done that, we can talk about where. This is the easy part because men are VERY approachable. No man is going to be mean to you, and if he is single he will absolutely want to talk with you if you start a conversation with him. Most women are surprisingly bad at conversing with men. Why? Because they feel its mens job to please/impress them. Take time to realize that men literally built the world you live in. They have spent their entire lives earning what you value in them, like their wealth and experience. You women are BORN with the traits we value in you, such as purity, beauty, affection and grace. If you are attracted to a man, odds are he has already done what he needs to prove himself to you and you would be better off trying to find common ground. Dont say you “hate small talk.” Valuable men see that as a HUGE red flag because all you’re saying is that you’re selfish and dont care to hear about the every day minutia of the average person. You are not above small talk. Relationships are BUILT on small talk. Do you really think your husband is going to come home every day after working hard and discuss the meaning of life and reviewing deep philosophical poetry? Get real, thats not what relationships are like. If you can't listen to how his day at work went then shut up, buy a dog and live alone honestly. No one is impressed when they hear you say you “dont do small talk.” If anything we are disappointed.
Dont try to impress us with how much money you make. We are not “intimidated” by it, we simply just dont care. I make over 6 figures, why do I need your money? I dont. If anything it tells us that you won't be a devoted wife or mother because you pride yourself on your career. You can't be a loving mother and a girl boss who owns her own company and jet-sets around the globe. If you want that lifestyle thats fine, but it will not lead to marriage or children. You will not attract a man by ACTING like a man because we know you aren't.
If you can, talk with your father about what he is interested in. Ask him about his hobbies and genuinely try to understand. If you can, ask your mother how she met him. If your parents have a good relationship, it can't hurt to follow their example.
Tbh you can meet men anywhere, but I would say try to find events/activities that involve groups. There is almost ALWAYS a single guy going to an event in hopes of meeting a woman. Concerts, sports games, trivia night at the local bar, fitness classes. Keep a positive attitude, dont listen to dating advice from women who aren't married, and keep yourself good shape.

No clue…
I would think having to have things in common that you can spend time together participating in is key though..
If you both enjoy watching movies it makes for easy quality free time together… Same could be said that if you both enjoy a certain type of food such as Mexican or Mediterranean… You’d be able to enjoy trying new places of that variety together.
But finding people in real life is more difficult as society has shifted its socializing norms..
People constantly make tik tok videos and YouTube shorts talking down to people trying to approach them when they’re just trying to get a simple task done.. it’s understandable to some extent but it secludes and distances us as a community as well… so now people don’t take to extroverted communicative measures as often anymore..
It used to be how stories were started, and how they were told… old tv shows and movies where you just happen to meet someone in the right place at the right time and your wit and charm could carry you through..
Now everyone has their guard up because they could be being recorded at any moment.. for one of these supposed viral video attempts..
If you’re brave enough you could always just keep swimming… Approach anyone you find interesting.. and make an attempt to get to know them.00 Reply

+1 yIt’s basically luck if you meet a guy in real life. It really helps if you’re still in school (high school or college). For some reason the people who run big companies don’t approve of their employees dating their coworkers.

Outdoor activity groups are great for this -- hiking, cycling, skiing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, etc. Play co-rec sports, like kickball, volleyball, softball. Play board games, take up chess if that sort of thing attracts you. Attend music festivals and chat up any guy you find attractive. Look into home building charities like Habitat for Humanity. Go to karaoke bars where you will find groups of single guys.

m +1 yI don’t meet guys, but when I have met girls, it’s been the pub, theatre (usually the bar), out shopping and stopping some place for a coffee, I have also had a girl give me her number on a train, we travelled from London to Aberdeen and chatted for hours. On the whole, I find a night out with your own friends means you can bump into girls out with their friends.

It really varied, I was going to update this and say my sister used to drag me out when she was interested in a guy and I would do similar, bit of safety but also so the other person was more comfortable. I have approached girls before, but you can look thirsty trying to do the same as what the last 10 guys did. I have had girls come up to me and chat, but a lot of it is mutual noticing of each other and then chatting.

I looked lonely at the bar lol, also the girl on the train was thanks for the talk , here my number we could catch a meal sometime.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yAs a guy, unless you're hot or rich-or both-you can't. That requires approaching in person, and that's "creepy." That's why every female spends copious amounts of time daily checking their dozens of social media accounts, to see who's bought their "content." They're not interested in meeting people face to face anymore, unless they can tell from 100 yards away he's hot/rich or showing a lot of flash. Even on sites like Craigslist for jobs/gigs, the majority of females only post to get people to buy content. They're not interested in anything else. So we get the point.👉

Otherwise try to find an activity you enjoy and see if there's a way to meet people who are into the same thing. Social media has kinda ruined the ease of doing this compared to say the 90s.
00 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Good question. It seems difficult today. Not enough physically attractive people, and people lacking character. Nights out don't necessarily attract good people.

Plus the times, it's difficult for a man to not be labelled or charged or told to leave. E. g. flirting unwanted flirting. Or a woman who baits. And also women are too timid to ask a hot guy out. It's a weird world 😄😄😄 I don't care as I'm single and I don't flirt with nobody

That way you already know if you see someone you like you know you have at least 1 thing in common.
