Why guys always want to take picture with me on a first date?

It keeps happening to me when I go out to dates. We just met like maybe two hours ago, and they pull their phone out and try to take a picture with me. Who are they trying to show to?
Do they do that to every girl they go out with?

I don't know, taking pics on a first date is kinda weird. A couple reasons guys might do it:

- They're trying to prove they're actually on a date, like for social media or whatever. Wants to show off they scored a date I guess.

- Could be trying to remember you, but a selfie is kinda much. Like just enjoy the moment, you know?

- Maybe they're not that into you and it's just for show. Like "look who I'm with" but they don't plan on a second date.

Hard to say for sure without knowing the guy. I'd say go with your gut - if he seems into getting to know you during the date and it's not all about the photo op, maybe he's ok. But if he's on his phone a lot or more focused on pics than chatting with you, probably not that into you for the right reasons. Up to you if you're cool with the pic thing or not on a first meeting. Just watch out he's actually present on the date, not performing for an audience, ya know?

Think it through: if it doesn't work out between the two of you, they have a nice memento of what was (hopefully) a pleasant time together. If they DO work out, then he'll have something to show off when you're celebrating the anniversary of your first date.

Meanwhile, what's the harm in it?
