Any tips for a first date?

It's been a while. He's a friend of my brother (has my brother's blessing, good sign) and we're going for a classic dinner and drinks date. Semi-fancy. What are your basic tips, your "don't forget this" tips, and your "most people do _____ but you should ______" tips?

Most important is to Be yourself:! Authenticity is key. Be genuine and true to yourself; don't try to be someone you're not.

Other things to consider: choose a comfortable location, dress appropriately, be on time, engage in active listening, maintain a positive attitude and avoid complaining or dwelling on negative topics. Pay attention to your body language and try to maintain open and friendly posture. Treat your date with respect.

Once the date is concluded. f you enjoyed the date and would like to see the person again, express your interest and suggest another meet-up. If not interested, be polite but honest.

Don't overthink! You can really trick yourself out of a good thing if you consider very minor details to be red flags.

Ask him questions about whatever he may be talking about, and try to take note of whether he asks you questions too. Keep the conversations balanced so that you both get time to talk.

Don't talk about your brother until the second date or even later.

Masturbate beforehand so it's easier to just part ways at the end of the night.

I've been on a lot of first dates. I can tell you things that the woman I went out with did to turn me off. It does depend on where you are going though...

The biggest tip I could give is IF you enjoy the date to let him known (and dont be obtuse when your doing so). A simple I had a great time tonight text is enough to make a guys day.
