Was I right in this situation?

I’ve been dating a guy for a month. He wanted me to come to his home town this weekend which is 2 hours away from me. He is also on holiday from work so he has loads of time. He preached about communication etc yet he has barely said a word in two days, he sent one message and he clearly seemed disinterested. So I brought it up to him and said if he isn’t interested then it’s okay and I will walk away. He then denied it and said I was being “rude”, it’s not rude to ask.

This really annoyed me because he’s been going on about people ghosting him and talking about communication yet he did the exact same thing and denied it. He the said I was being “negative”. So I called it off. I won’t stand for being blamed for things that aren’t my fault. And I do not want to date a person who expects me to drive two hours to see him when he can’t even send a message in two days when he’s off from work too
