Was I wrong in this situation? Please help?

So I was driving to get food yesterday and when I was getting ready to park, I seen this other guy reversing into one of the parking spots that was close to the one I parked at. Mind you, it didn’t even look like he was about to park in the one I parked at. As I got out my car, he was like “that was rude” and I told him that I didn’t know that he was about to park in the spot that I was parked at. Then he gonna say “that’s what the blinkers are for”. Like there wasn’t 5 other spots open next to us. I apologized to him but I felt like there was no need for him to get smart, like I know the purpose of a fucking blinker obviously. I never had anything like this happen before, so that’s why I was in shock (kind of)

I thought the saying was ladies first, wouldn't that make him the rude one? Who showed him his manners
