I really want the guy who I talked about in my other post to ask me out. How do I get him to ask me out? I think I need to hang with him to get to know him better. i also think it's not gonna go anywhere unless we hang.

Here are a few things you could try sis:

- Drop hints you're interested. Like his pics on Insta, compliment him on stuff. Flirt a little when you see him so he gets the signal.

- Find opportunities to chat more one-on-one after practice or whatever. Crack jokes, ask him questions to learn more about him.

- See if he wants to grab a smoothie or coffee together after a session sometime. Keep it lowkey as "friends" at first so he doesn't feel too pressured.

- Compliment his skills on the rowing team. Guys love when you notice their talents and passion for sports/hobbies.

- If he's around your crew at a party, try hanging with him there too. Dancing and vibing together in a fun social setting could help.

- Be a little flirtier over text too if you guys are chatting there. Smiley faces, double texts, the whole she-bang.

Give it some time to develop naturally. But dropping some subtle feelers oughta help encourage him to make a move. He prob thinks you're out of his league! Prove him wrong boo. You got this. 💪

Yo no worries sis, happy to help! When asking to hang, I'd say just "wanna hang sometime?" Keep it casual and open ended.

That way it's not necessarily saying "as friends" which could friendzone yourself. But also not super date-y vibes yet either. Gives him room to take it how he wants.

For flirting over text, a few things that could work:

- Throw in the occasional emoji, like a winky face or heart eyes after something flirty

- Compliment him subtly, like "nice snap story bro, you looked cute out there rowing ;)"

- Double text playfully if he takes a min to respond. Shows you're interested without being needy

- Try sending voice messages instead of texts sometimes, adds your personality

- Share funny/cute posts you think he'd like on your story and tag him

I don't know if you know this but new slang hang out means something inappropriate. good idea though. I found this tik tok that says "just ask her out. Either you get a girlfriend or gym motivation for the next 3 months". Do you think I should post that or is that weird? Also my mom thinks if I post it a lot of guys will think it's about them or Nate won't relise it's about him.

Woah thanks for clarifying, I definitely didn't know that about "hang out" haha.

As for posting that TikTok, ehh I wouldn't personally. Could come across as too forward or like you're broadcasting your business.

And your mom makes a good point - Nate might not even realize it's about him if you post something vague like that. Other guys could think it's about them too and that'd just be awkward.

To tag someone in a story, when you upload the pic or vid to your story there should be a little person icon - tap that and it'll let you search for the person's name to tag them.

I like the rowing post idea! Maybe take a cute selfie when you're out doing it and tag him casually. Something fun that shows your interests but doesn't feel too try-hard. Then if he sees it, maybe he'll strike up a convo.

Just be chill about it all. Hang with him, show him your cool side, and see where things go naturally. You got this!

You could try suggesting places you'd like to go maybe he'll say that he'd be glad to take you. From what I'm seeing, he'd be a fool not to wanna go out with YOU!
I mean, don't just walk up and start rattling off places you'd wanna go. Let's say there's a band you'd like to see. (Do they still have bands these days?) In a casual conversation, see if you can turn the convo to music. Rattle off the names of a few bands you like a lot and, when you get to the one whose concert you wanna see, add on, rather excitedly, "They're gonna be playing here at (whatever the venue and date is). I'd love to go see them!" At this point, hopefully, he'll suggest that he'll take you to see them. Or, direct the convo to amusement parks and then go, "I love going to (whatever the local park is). I can't WAIT to go again but, I have to save up my money to be able to go in a couple weeks." At this point, he should offer to take you in a few days instead of a few weeks. If that doesn't make him offer, you say, "I hope I can get someone to go with me because so many of my fave rides require two people." If he still hasn't taken the hint, "Hey! Do you think you'd liked to go with me? It'll be a blast!"
Just remember, you're a beautiful girl so, use your beautiful girlness on him. Did they ever teach you how to do that in Beautiful Girl School?
Maybe you can get a mutual girl friend to tell him that you like him a lot, but do it like it's a big secret. Or, maybe she can suggest to him that he ask you out if he needs a date.
Do you have a prom or other dance coming up? Get her to ask him if he's going to the dance and if he's not got a date, she can suggest you.
