💍Should assets merge in marriage?

Assets should never join. I’m an empowered feminist ☺️. So I believe women can do anything men can do, assets should NEVER join. Marriage is a title, not a financial agreement.

After all, women want equal rights 😗 Why should men always be losing their money/hard work and kids after a divorce?
After all 80% of women initiate divorce.

Depends.
Let's say A marries B. A had a huge inheriticance, and while they are married they share it, but they get divorced. I'd say B had no claim on it, especially if A got it before marriage
I think assets earned BEFORE marriage should not be shared AFTER the marriage is through via divorce, but while the marriage is going on, all assets should be shared, and the couple should have talked about it prior to the wedding in case limits should be set.

If you're traditional then sure. If your body count is over 1 then no since it's a modern relationship. All money and chores should be split 50/50 then

So few people sign them. Also, a lot of them don’t work and are rejected by courts as there’s a very strict criteria for them to be legally binding
