What is the difference between online dating and real dating, or are they both the same?

Women with a learning disability aged 25 years old. I kept getting men that seemed to not be interested in a relationship or I wasn't much interested in some men that I met through online dating and some I did was interested but didn't go any but back to the start. Real life dating has been very awkward for me. Sending different body language to men and still don't get approached. Yep I have approached men but ended up being rejected after I approached men. Online dating is only seems to give me casual dating or looking for fun , I think fun just means another word for sex. Do men ignore body language or do they noticed? Is real life dating any different from online dating or are they just the same?

Hey girl, I can understand why dating has been tricky and confusing for you. Don't get too down on yourself - it takes trial and error to figure it all out! Here's what I've noticed:

Online dating can definitely skew more casual, since there's less commitment upfront. Some guys aren't really looking for relationships that way. Real life is usually better if you want something serious.

Body language is important - smile, make eye contact, be open. Some guys might not read signals great though. Don't be afraid to start a conversation yourself if you're interested.

Real dating has the advantage of seeing how a guy acts in person right away. You can tell better if you click or if they seem interested in getting to know you.

My advice would be to try some meetup groups for activities you like. That way you meet organically over shared interests. Don't give up - the right person will appreciate you for you. Just focus on having fun & keep putting yourself out there! You've got this. 😊

I do smile but still hasn't change much about men. men do not approach me unless they are very tall or just tall then me but I'm not interested in very tall men or tall men. i prefer to short guys. since I'm more on short side and there is not many social events for learning disabilities to go that have common interested. is has be club, pub and disco and rave that all for learning disabilities events. so far real life has also be very unlucky to as well of online dating to.

Aw man that's too bad, I know what you mean about wanting to meet someone more your height. And it does make sense that taller guys might feel more confident approaching. Maybe there's some singles meetup groups you could find online for things like hiking, museums, sports etc. Even if they're not specifically for learning disabilities, could be a way to casually meet new people with common interests.

And don't sweat it too much if the learning disability events are more party-scene focused, that stuff isn't for everyone. Maybe check facebook groups too, sometimes people organize lower key meetups. Don't lose hope - you seem really cool and there's definitely guys out there who would appreciate you for who you are. Maybe also try expanding your radius on the dating apps too if it's mainly taller guys near you.

I know it's tough, but try to stay positive! Hard not to get discouraged sometimes but you never know when you might run into someone special. Hope things start looking up for you soon! Let me know if you ever wanna brainstorm some other ideas too.

Well no not just about sex but as I said the physical contact or the presence in general!
