Do you think leagues exist in dating, and if so to what extent? Why would someone (women especially) date below their league? If a girl is very good looking, self-confident, bubbly, has a good social status in terms of friends, has a good job and good ambitions (albeit sub par grades), what do you think she'd look for in her league?

No this is psychological wall made by the person or others that want you to feel inferior. However there's not a person alive that is fundamentally better then another person. You can be not right for each other for a relationship, but you and everyone else dont have the right to call themselves superior in anyway. The perfect person for you may not be in alignment with someone else.
She would probably want to be someone that achieved more then her or at same level as her but not below that.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. Do you think this is entirely linear or do you think there are parallels? E. g. someone has a good job but less ambition vs someone with a poor job / no job but more ambition & future prospects
Good job without ambition I would say. Many people have jobs but they aren't ambitious.
