Is it a good sign if you spend 7 hours just talking?

He picked me up in his car, we got coffee2go from McDonalds (which he paid twice for, the third time I felt bad) and cruised around in his car, talking, laughing, listening to music. The last few hours we spent in his car on the parking lot of McDonald's just TALKING and laughing. Chemistry (as far as I'm concerned) was through the roof. He also said he'd like to consider it a date. And he drove me home and texted me after. Is it a very good sign that we spent 7hrs without him even suggesting once that we call it a day? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question, I haven't had a date in four years...
