Like doesn’t make anything if men cheat then it would make sense for a woman to because you can’t have a one sided relationship.
Women are cognitively two years ahead of their male peers on average going into young adulthood. Women have to essentially reinforce the baseline of standard as its distributed. It's aided by society but I've never been fully convinced that birth control in itself was ever supposed to justify women taking on conquest as a male might.
BC being taken on by women is modifying their hormonal perceptions in selecting mates. The genders were never meant to be fully equal. The standard two are meant to complement each other in the proliferation of our species.
I agree though. You should have a relationship that prioritizes being in trust instead of just love. Because we are different beings, promiscuity means something different for either one. A woman can only be pregnant one gestation at a time but a man can fertilize.
In order for our society to move forward... America needs a second statue, put it on the West Coast and call it the Statue of Responsibility. You can't truly have liberty without it. If we want men to take on more responsibility, everyone has to advocate for that and that cannot be shirked by people who want equity.

This double standard goes back to the caveman period. Many men have this issue with penetration. Another dick was in there and it freaks them out. Also men have a ego thing about size and if they thinks that a larger dick was in there they can't measure up.

I suppose it was more of value to the women back in the day than men, and dating and marriage was different back then, than today.
Back then, it was more like a career choice for women, a way of survival. Would her man be loving: making her happy and keeping her safe instead of making her sad by lusting over others, or threatening her safety? And would he also be able to help her or support her so they both could eat and live well? Or would they both be struggling or she have barely anything to eat while he ate just enough to get him by and going to work all the time? Meanwhile for him back then it’d mostly be did he make her happy and willing to have sex or make a legacy (was she fertile), and would he make enough to support her, but due to the statistics back in those days, not every guy thought that way and not every lady either.
Today, it can be about if both make enough to help each other and safety, too, but it’s both equally more about love and sex and they both usually work and make enough income, or don’t mind budgeting, and now, there’s police and male family members- and family members in general- as well as friends.
Since women could be endangered back then and not all worked, their choice in a man was critical, just about as critical as the choice of career the men back then chose for themselves OR them and their potential wives and families.
Today, by tradition, and a bit of logic, some importance is still placed on women in courtship/dating/ and/or hooking up, on basic cautionary measures, not being naive or oblivious, and also protecting her virginity or at least being responsible about potential birth-risks. She’s the one who would be stuck with a baby to care for, as well as herself already, or stuck with the decision and procedures of aborting that child.
He wouldn’t have to bear a child for 9 months, care for it, plan to abort it, or worry about his safety around some of the women he chooses to be with. He just has to make sure she’s not a scam, and likable. Also sane and not some psychopath- which he’d most likely be able to handle. Most likely. 🤷♀️
Then do the opposite. Date a guy who never kissed anyone, never dated anyone , never done stuff in past, never tried alcohol, smokin', and drugs etc and even never talked to a girl, and is less popular in social media. U should ask these things at first date , if they did it. Reject them instantly.
Because guys hate terrible human beings and like having harsh standards put on women if they fail to live up to them and because most people (men) just ignore other guys with no standards so they don’t take it as personally
I think everyone is allowed to have preferences.
