Would you consider asking out a girl who is 5’10”?

Question

I am a woman who is 5’10” and I hardly get approached by men but men do check me out. When I realized this, it made me wonder if it’s my height that intimidate them. I’ve been told by several men that I’m like a 7 or 8 out of 10 so I’m certain that them not approaching me has nothing to do with my looks.

lol, guys aren't ''intimidated'' by you. That's often a excuse girls use for guys not being into them. They may just not be attracted to you.

Sometimes a female being overly tall, will put many guys off, because it's natural for guys to generally want to be the taller, protective one in the relationship. It's nature. Hence as a reverse, many females like taller guys. I wouldn't date a female taller than me, myself.

Not saying that 5'10 is overly tall for a lot of guys, but it may be the the very borderline. Personally if I was you, I'd avoid wearing heels, as looking like your 6'1, once you wear heels will put off a lot of guys.

Asking out any girl frightens me, the possibility of rejection is a great motivator to only do that if your feeling very confident of a positive reception.

If anything. personally, tallness would increases my interest and desire to ask (though 5"10 isn't that tall). It's above average.

Lots of things about girls intimidate most men. The Alpha males are never intimidated though. Then they don't ever seem to be really rejected (outside of being known for being creeps, and even then they kinda presume the girl will get past that because their that good looking).

My mom is a taller woman than me at 170 cm. She’s still not that tall but kind of on the taller side for a woman, Lots of men like her, to the point that she’s always surprised when 6’3, 6’5 men ask me out, wondering how come they like me when I am so much shorter, always asking me if they know my height.

Currently I am talking to a 6’3 man and he’s quite a lot into me.

Even though I am short, if I looked grumpy nobody would like me.

I’d be fine with doing so. Guys are different but as long as the guy is at least your height or bigger he’ll probably be more comfortable asking you out.

If you’re notably taller than the guy he likely won’t ask you out so I wouldn’t expect too many 5’8” and under guys talking with you.

Height doesn't intimidate me, neither do beautiful women, BUT I do know from lots of my friends, taller women and especially gorgeous tall women frighten the life out of them.

I'm already with someone (She's 5''11) yet I always have to be the one who has to engage in conversation, because they are too scared to even approach them.

5’10 is fine, I know guys at 5’8 dating taller girls. It’s not intimidating. I’ve dated girls at 6’0 - 6’2

Would I have a problem with your height? Absolutely not. Would I have a problem with you wearing heels? No. But I would not approach you either, because I am significantly shorter than you and I'm not looking for a guaranteed rejection just for being shorter than you.

I don’t think height matters too much to guys, unless it’s a dramatic height difference. If you come across very masculine, that may put some guys off though.

That probably has a fact to play in the equation but metoo movement, online dating and constant videos of women complaining about men being “creepy” also has a lot to play in aswell.
