Honestly I'm not sure if that's really "normal" or not. I mean, movies and TV make it seem romantic when people kiss spontaneously in the moment. But in real life it can definitely be surprising.

Maybe she really liked you and was feeling bold? Or thought you had a connection and wanted to make a move. Some girls are just more forward and aggressive like that I guess.

If it was me, I probably would've been a bit shocked at first. But as long as you were also into her, I don't see any harm in going with it after the initial surprise. A kiss is a kiss!

And hey, at least you know she finds you attractive if she wants to lock lips that bad. I'd say just roll with it dude. Better to have a girl make the first move than miss an opportunity cause you were too chicken, right? Smooth move on her part if you ask me!
