Who sets the dates while dating?

So I don’t date a lot and the few times I have, the guy has always set up the date and asked what days I’m free and all of that. But I’m seeing that I’m not as successful in dating anymore and I’m just wondering, after going on about 8 dates over the course of few months, is it expected that the girl start asking to hang out as well?

Expected? I’m not sure where that came from or how it should factor but you get that what your looking for is a relationship and in that relationship your a team , you want as much from them as they do you , you want to be equals , friends and lovers so why start in a way that’s completely foreign. If you want be spend time with the guy , show him and tell him that , if you don’t , then make that clear also. Guys like girls , are not mind readers 😂

Girls are too lazy/shy/scared and won't do anything beyond agreeing to a date and showing up. They are waiting for miracles to happen.

Well a girl can be confident and takes initiative. But personally I prefer and likes a guy who takes initiative/leads… unless I cancelled the first date, I’ll offered availability.

Whoever does the asking should ask what the askee likes to do, likes to eat, etc then ask if his or her choice is acceptable. The askee should defer to the asker on the first date unless there are unusual circumstance ("Last time I ate there, I got food poisoning!)

After the first date, either can suggest dates, and it should be a suggestion open for conversation

he offers date first, always but if you're not available you suggest alternative when you are available.

We both do. My wife sometimes wants to surprise me so she tells me to get dressed nicely and surprises me with a date. We do romantic outings twice a week.

You can absolutely plan for dates yourself. I think he would also appreciate if you take the initiative.

Both in the sense that I will ask and she will either say yes, no, or she can't on that day but can on this or these days.
