Would you date outside of your race?

I'm black but I'd date a white guy. If he's funny, compassionate, down to earth, adventurous and smart.

When you tend to date a guy or even a girl outside of your own race, it comes with a heavy baggage. People look down on you, because you ""betrayed"" your own race, people will be looking at you no matter where you go, as if both of you are some kind of museum piece. But wait, there is more. Having kids would be the most difficult part, because he/she will be confused and he/she will have difficult time making friends and finding their own inner circle. You have to think about those type of things, mixed kids are beautiful, but they are having extremely difficult time assimilating with society and culture. And that goes for all type mixtures. Black with White, Black with Asian. White with Asian, White with Latino etc... Even though kids turn out to be really beautiful from all type of mixtures, but like I said before, society will be giving them really hard time.

YES. Honestly glad i did because if i didn't i'd be still sad today. Im black as well and frankly I would've dated any race of women if they treated me right but with how black women treated me while I was in school, I felt more like a embarrassment and an outcast. Most black women in my town didn't want me that way anyway I just felt more comfortable with the woman I met that was outside my race and just so happens she treated me better than most women in my own race, or at least the women I met. Black women in my town didn't like how "not black enough" I was, and frankly I really didn't care about being some loud annoying person cause that just wasn't who I was. So I'd just much rather be with someone that really loved me for who I was rather than some made up image of a guy that woman wanted to see.

Why does this type of question keep coming up, no one really gives a toss about the colour of a persons skin, ethnicity, hair colour, eye colour etc. People date those they have some attraction to and the other person is attracted to them, a relationship then grows and works or does not. No one really cares about skin colour or ethnicity, apart from the more racist side of humanity.

I would date outside my race and have done so. The exception is black women. I will not date a black woman.

See, with a black woman, it is not just her I have to deal with. Many people down a black woman for dating white men. Even if she is awesome herself, there is no doubt that somebody in her family would make it a race issue.

I've had more drama with dating black girls than I have any mexican/Spanish/other latina.

I think it's more about cultural differences than different color of skin. I can't imagine myself dating with girl from another culture, because it's create language barrier, you didn't understand each other local jokes etc. Definitely this comparison is rude, but: dating people from other culture is like going to a completely different country to long-term life, and it's completely different than going to that country as a tourist.
