My boyfriend and I are very social people. Why does he ignore me in public?

Example: We were sitting at the bar at Applebee’s eating dinner. He literally had his back to me and talking to people the entire meal. I felt like I was eating alone!

Either he feels it's completely ok for you and you don't need any attention from him, or he is too much social and he feels that people are more important but you would be forever with him or maybe he does not love you enough but this relationship is just kind of casual for him so he isn't investing himself more into this. This could be reason. If possible you can talk to him about it and could see does he change his actions or not. You need to figure out yourself.

How does he behave otherwise? I suggest reading up on narcissistic personality disorder and seeing if you see other traits that match his behavior towards you. He may be a narcissist. My ex used to do this to me all the time too. He only gave me attention when he required the attention to me to gain someone’s else’s favor.
