It's possible she was insecure about the age difference herself on some level. So putting you down about being "old" was a weird defense mechanism to make herself feel better.

Either way, you didn't deserve that crap, man. No need to tolerate someone chirping at you all the time and belittling you. Even if you were new to dating, it's not cool for her to take advantage of that.
