If both parties are adults, that is that they are both over the age of 18 and that both parties again have chosen the partner on their free will and have not been coerced, "motivated" or in any other way obliged or menaced to date another person, then there is no reason why it should not be okay.

I personally would not, simply because 1. I don't date and 2. I have personal preferences as to what age or age group is best suited for me.

I would never date a man that is the same age or younger than me, simply because men tend to be 2-3 years less mature than women of the same age. I would also not date a man that is more than 3 years older. But again, these are personal preferences but thank goodness, I am not interested in dating.

It is so long as both of you are mature and no one tries to take advantage. I do think massive age gaps are a bit odd though because you are at different stages in life but that's not too say it won't work for you.
