Why do people commit if they can't keep the commitment?

Ever wondered that? Do they not know what they want and they think they want a relationship but during the relationship they realize they just wanted to get their dick or twat moist so they end up cheating? I never understood the point of commiting to someone to then break it, it seems the issue is people no longer take dating seriously lol

That is a big question.
Perhaps they mean will and want to…in reality…it may not turn out that way…

it takes a lot of work to make a romantic relationship work…many don’t realize the hard work that requires.

Many have used the analogy of creating a garden…it takes hard work…if one put as much work to their garden as they would for their relationship, at the end… which takes a long time because in between… the wind, the bugs, the seasons change… can damage the garden.
Many give up.

i like to use the soup make analogy … both people put in yummy ingredients … the soup will take good… once one add too much salt, the other may need to add a lot of water to fix it…

but when one add mud to the soup…not sure if you can save it.

so there is my 2 cents…

people aren't perfect... some know they will cheat but create relationships anyway. Some are serious about the relationship and then... they just do it and often regret it...

Almost every situation is different because people, their past, unfulfilled needs, and missing or damaged emotions are different...

cheating is nothing new...

even around those times in which people were more "conservative and traditional" and had all those morals, and family values... and way more religious background for these family and marriage things... they still cheated and had things on the side

why do it? I guess that's just human nature

it is no different than me, or others... failing to meet any other commitment, to myself, to my life, family, friends... with god, and other things

weakness is human nature, we're flawed, we have faults... so, for us, or for anyone to say that we have NEVER EVER failed any commitment, big or small... that would be the very rare thing to see

I cannot speak for cheater but I can speak as someone who likes to make plans, then not commit to them. But I usually do it to myself. I’ll say, I clean a certain item and when the day arrives, I don’t.
