Why can't guys fully commit? Also, what prevents them from commiting to their relationship?

They see commitment as taking away their freedom. The more sex drive, and the more options they think they have, and the more they were controlled at home when they were young, the less likely they will be to commit to any one girl/woman.

They want some type of interactions with women, but they know generally that women are at odds, have different goals often, than what they have, so they lie and are deliberately vague and even obtuse. Sometimes it can be that they don't yet know what they want, if they want a relationship with her. But if girls give sex, they'll take that in the meantime. And then as they get to know her, they either decide they're not interested enough to give up all their 'freedom', or they knew they never were going to for her.

They can commit. It's just that the ones that can and will commit are the ones you are not into or ignore or friend zone. And to get a guy to commit to you, you gotta add value to his life in some way shape or form, and that means learning about him. If there's something he likes or something he needs help with, then act on that. He more than likely is gonna notice that. You can't just show up and sit around and do nothing and expect him to commit to you when you don't prove yourself to be an asset in his life.

They can. But guys just like girls sometimes think they can find better and don't want to settle for a women that doesn't take care of them to the standards they deem are appropriate.

But they can. And they do. Being rushed to commit, or being exposed to any kind of soap opera drama is an easy quick way to prevent him from committing. Another fatal relationship flaw most women do is trying to test his responses and reactions by creating false issues, or situations, or making statements to see what his reaction will be in a given situation.

Old adage (bastardized) - it's every girls priority to get married as soon as possible. It's also every guys priority to stay single as long as possible.
Guys tend to avoid commitment bc it spells the end of their freedom.

The term "love" means different things to different people.
Far too many throw it around on a daily basis, which cheapens the entire concept.
Saying "I love you" isn't a commitment, by the way.
Saying "Marry me" is.

Afiac, your term "fully commit" means marriage proposal.
Throwing around "I love you" is a platitude.

It's just immaturity. The guys don't know what they want, and they aren't really enthused by the idea of going steady with a woman at that point in their lives.
