depends on what kind of spark... that's subjective...

with one of my ex-girlfriends, there was this kind of "chemistry" that was amazingly intriguing very early on, let's just say the affinity and compatibility was "natural" and we didn't have actively work on it, it just was...

but then, in other relationships... was more like working discovering it, didn't take long at all, but was definitely something we found out about just a bit later

Dont plan for luck. Just work on what you know and let the cards land where they may. This research for spark is a waste of prayers.
