I think the “spark” is real, but it’s not always the best indicator of long-term potential. That initial rush you feel the butterflies excitement chemistry is mostly your brain releasing dopamine and adrenaline. It feels amazing but it can fade once the novelty wears off.
The real test of a relationship starts after that chemical high settles. That’s when you see whether there’s trust communication effort emotional safety and compatibility beneath the excitement. Plenty of people have had an instant spark with someone who ended up being totally wrong for them.
At the same time I don’t think the spark is meaningless. It can show attraction and connection and it can help bring two people together. But it’s the commitment respect and willingness to build something together that actually keeps a relationship strong.
So to me the spark is the beginning but the real work of love is what determines whether it lasts.
Well said again! I agree
A spark can easily fade. It's not a real indicator
I went to college was a girl who was really just average looking but we became friends and I had no real intention of it becoming something else. However one night we were walking around campus and she just touched my arm. I felt this warmth that radiated from the spot where she touched me. I never felt anything like it before or since but all of s sudden I had a whole different perspective. I thought that maybe I was in love with her.
Well it’s a indicator of potential…. Potential isn’t a guarantee you need to make sure you’re compatible for one another as well both people having one another’s best interests at heart.
That spark is the beginning. Be careful don’t get too carried away too fast.

This is a chemical trick and if you mistake lust for love you are going to get in serious trouble. I know I did.
The first one
It is real. I love it
